Inter-Faith Protestant ChaplainClaremont University Consortium Job Description: Claremont University Consortium is seeking a full-time Interfaith Protestant Chaplain.
Description: The purpose of the Inter-Faith Protestant Chaplain is to support and promote the presence of a vigorous and diverse religious community on the campuses of The Claremont Colleges (TCC), to strengthen the faith communities associated with the Inter-Faith Chaplains Office, to develop programs which foster interfaith dialogue, to serve the pastoral needs of the TCC students and to model mutual respect for diverse faith communities and traditions. The Inter-Faith Protestant Chaplain is expected to collaborate with various offices of the TCC including but not limited to: the Dean of Students, Alumni and Admissions Offices. The Inter-Faith Protestant Chaplain is to regularly attend and be informed of student meetings, Bible/scriptural studies and gatherings of on-campus Christian student groups sponsored through the Interfaith Office of the Chaplains. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and is a full time 10-month exempt position (August 1st – May 31th) Essential functions: 30% Spiritual and Pastoral Support: Provide spiritual leadership, guidance and support for TCC students Skills/Qualifications: Applicants must possess a Master's degree in religious studies, theology or equivalent
