Palm Valley Church, a rapidly growing church in Goodyear Arizona, is seeking to fill a Worship Pastor position. Palm Valley has a contemporary style of worship, much like Hillsong United or Fellowship Church. We are currently searching for multiple worship leaders to add to our team as we expand our ministry and look to add additional campuses.

Palm Valley has grown to nearly 5,000 people in attendance in our 4 weekend services and we are taking steps to expand our reach into additional areas. We have planned the addition of a second campus this fall and are working toward additional campuses in the coming year. In addition to our weekly services PVC can be seen on a weekly 1 hour TV worship experience.

The principle responsibilities for this role are:

1. Lead worship approximately three to four weekends per month.
2. Lead worship team rehearsals.
3. Facilitate participation in authentic worship during weekend services.
4. Recruit, schedule, develop, and mentor volunteer instrumentalists, vocalists, and other worship team members.
5. Recruit, schedule, develop, and mentor volunteer worship leaders.
6. Develop and lead a worship ministry team that fosters good communication and a strong sense of community among all musicians and vocalists.
9. Participate on the Creative Team for weekly planning and production of thematically integrated services.

The competencies we are looking for include:

1. Can both lead and thrive in a team-based environment.
2. Teachable, responsive, and respectful of authority.
3. Engaging presence on the platform, with an ability to engage the heart of the people through music and words.
4. Strong vocal abilities; able to lead worship as well as perform solo for special songs.
5. Ability to play multiple instruments (preferably guitar and piano).
6. Able to read and write musical arrangements (or willing and able to learn).
7. Growing knowledge and appreciation for spiritual and secular music from the past and present.
8. A track record of significant impact and effectiveness as a worship leader for large gatherings.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time position (40+ hours a week with benefits package). Salary is established by qualifications and experience.
