Pastor of Youth and Worship
Northgate Church
Summary: Provide oversight to the youth and worship ministry of Northgate Church. The majority of time spent will be with the youth ministry.
Youth Pastor
Overall Responsibility :
Provide oversight for the youth ministry of Northgate Church (grades 7-12)
Reach teens with the Gospel
Grow teens into mature followers of Christ
Send teens into their environments to share Christ with others
Specific Responsibilities:
Cultivate and direct the youth ministry
-Identify needs and interests of teens within the church and_noemailmunity
-Plan a strategy of reaching, teaching, and equipping those teens
-Identify and provide ministry opportunities for teens
Recruit, train, and equip leaders
Regularly meet with leadership team for prayer, planning, and strategy of ministry
Provide counsel and spiritual direction to teens on an individual basis as needed
Provide outreach and enfolding to visiting teens and families
Provide leadership for weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, etc.
Provide shepherding to teens and their families
Maintain various administrative responsibilities (youth directory, budget, background checks and applications for leaders, etc.)
Worship Pastor
Overall Responsibilities
Provide oversight for the entire worship / music ministry of the church
Specific Responsibilities
Provide oversight for the worship team(s) and seasonal groups (adult or children)
Coordinate weekly worship sets with sermon topics and seasonal themes
Oversee scheduling of weekly instrumentalist, offertories, and special music
Recruit musically gifted individuals who can contribute to the enhancement of the worship ministry at Northgate Church
Oversee an annual budget as well as the upkeep of all equipment with worship at Northgate Church

Boldness to initiate action and influence people
Enjoys teamwork and collaboration
College degree
Prior experience in youth ministry and worship leading
Passion for youth and families
