Job Description:
Administration: Serving as a facilitator while working with the Official Joint Board, as well as_noemailmittees & groups of the congregation on planning and implementing programs.
Counseling: Counseling with individuals on personal and spiritual problems, with couples planning to be married, with those hospitalized, & with others on personal and/or vocational problems.
Enabler: Helping others identify their own special call to service and ministry, and enabling them to respond to that call.
Evangelism: Spending time sharing the gospel with people who have not had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Personal and Spriitual Growth: Developing and following a discipline of Bible and other devotional study, and helping to plan and lead opportunities for the personal and spiritual growth of others.
Pulpit Responsibilities: The Pastor will be in the pulpit all Sundays, except on designated vacation Sundays, unless mutually agreed to by the Church Official Joint Board for any exceptions.
Teaching: Teaching church doctrine classes, planning and /or teaching classes for church school teachers, teaching in special short-term classes, & etc.
The Spiritual Leader: The person to whom members turn for advise and guidance on all aspects of the life and work of the congregation.
Visiting: Visiting with members of the congregation, and includes hospital, shut-ins, and bereavement visits.
Worship and Preaching: Conducting worship services, including sermon preparation and working with others who will participate in leading the worship services.
