Job Description:
This full time position will be responsible for assisting, leading, and developing worship and musical excellence at Forest Hill – South Park campus. This includes the facilitation and leadership of Christ-centered, multi-faceted, transformational, spiritual worship experiences in a multi-generational and multi-ethnic congregational setting that represent the mission, vision and interests of Forest Hill Church and its philosophy of worship. Additional duties include:
Leading a multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregation to meaningfully respond to God in a_noemailmunity
Assuming the "lead shepherd" role with pastoral heart for worship staff, contract and volunteer personnel while building spiritual_noemailmunity with and among them
Managing existing ministry staff (Associate Worship Leader and Music Director), affirming and empowering their leadership
Being an effective lead collaborator of the creative design and architecture of contemporary worship experiences
Leadership in_noemailanized, advanced preparation of weekly worship sets, musical arrangements and liturgy including rehearsals
Effectively leading musicians and vocalists
Serving as one of the members of the South Park Campus Lead Team
Serving in partnership with FHC's other campus worship leaders toward a unified FHC Worship philosophy and environment that is truly Christ-centered
Taking an active role in the development of musicians and vocalists in partnership with the Music Director and Associate Worship Leader, leading, engaging, and empowering volunteers, contractors and fellow staff to achieve their full potential and participation in the ministry
Supporting pastoral functions of the church (weddings, funerals) and special emphases of the church as needed
Trustworthy financial management and stewardship of ministry resources
Qualified candidates must_noemaile with about 5 years of church staff experience of effective leadership of teams and congregations in contemporary worship music, have earned a degree in music or equivalent experience and will have mastered the following: vocal proficiency (performance, technique, instruction); instrumental abilities (theory and performance in at least one musical instrument); familiarity in arranging,_noemailposing and performing music in a wide diversity of musical styles; knowledge of music software for tracking, arrangement creation, and charting; relational and collaboration skills; a true spirit of servanthood and a sincere passion for the local church.
