First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, Missouri, is a growing, downtown congregation with a vision for everyone connected to our church_noemailmunity to belong, believe, and b_noemaile a blessing in the name of Christ. We we_noemaile questions, believe that faith is meant to unite people rather than divide them, and seek to join God in loving and serving outside the walls of the church. Two years ago we added a_noemailmunity center to our already-established food pantry in order to serve neighbors in need and allow church members to share their gifts in the loving spirit of Christ. Last year we_noemailpleted a major renovation of our main facility to create a modern, flexible, and we_noemailing space where both contemporary and traditional worship services can be celebrated, and where people of all generations can connect with each other and with God.

Now we are seeking a part-time Director of Communications to help tell the story of what God is doing at First United Methodist Church. The responsibilities of this position will include:

Generating content and developing effective strategies for sharing the story of God's work at First United Methodist Church both within and outside our congregation.
Creating and managing all web-based, screen, and print_noemailmunication, including newsletter and bulletin.
Applying excellent_noemailanizational skills and adaptability to develop short- and long-term_noemailmunication strategies.
