PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
To provide leadership, management and development for the_noemailmunity and outreach ministries of First Baptist Church
WORK ENVIRONMENT
First Baptist Church is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Our church_noemailmunity of about 400 is a diverse group of people living in the city of Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. The staff consists of four ministry leaders and one business manager, responsible for the building maintenance team. Staff and members are_noemailmitted to growing in their relationship with God through worship,_noemailmunity and outreach.

-- To have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
-- To regularly articulate that relationship.
-- To agree with the statement of faith and discipleship process of First Baptist Church.
-- To have a desire for personal spiritual growth and accountability.
-- To be a role model spiritually, morally and relationally to the congregation.
Ministry Leadership
Outreach Ministries
-- Partner with Sr. Pastor to develop future outreach structure and programming.
-- Recruit, train and coach lay leaders to plan and carry out outreach ministries.
-- Coordinate outreach prayer and accountability within the Adult Community Groups.
Connections Ministries
-- Provide leadership and oversight for the lay leaders in charge of greeters, ushers and others involved in the we_noemaile process.
-- Oversee the new attendee follow-up process.
Adult Community Groups
-- Partner with Sr. Pastor to plan and implement improvements to existing ACG ministry.
-- Recruit, train and coach ACG leaders.
-- R_noemailmend and approve ACG study topics and/or materials.
-- Meet periodically with leaders to provide support and encouragement.
-- Create New ACG groups when beneficial.
-- Coordinate group logistics_noemailanization.
-- Direct new participants to an appropriate group.
-- Monitor effectiveness of groups and r_noemailanize if/when necessary.
-- Market/encourage ACG participation to the congregation at large.
Visitation Ministry
-- Oversee the directors of the kinship program in charge of lay visitation to shut-ins.
-- Coordinate staff visitation as needed.
Supervise budgets for Outreach and Discipleship.
Provide preaching ministry to the congregation as instructed by the Sr. Pastor.
Qualifications
-- Seminary education or equivalent pastoral experience.
-- Experience in program leadership and management.
-- Experience with training leaders.
-- Experience with_noemailmunity group leadership.
