HOURS: Monday-Thursday TBD (Salaried 20 hours per week)
Weekend hours may also be required depending on church
programs & events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a member in good standing of a local Church Organization
College graduate or equivalent work-related experience
Minimum of five years experience as an executive secretary
Strong_noemailputer skills are imperative (MS Windows, Word,
Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in the use of standard of office tools:_noemailputer,
copy machine, etc.
Strong_noemailanizational skills
Have excellent_noemailmand of English_noemailposition and
punctuation
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Primary function is to Operate and maintain normal day-to-day operations of the church office. This person would report directly to the Senior Pastor.
CHURCH FINANCIAL SECRETARY JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Ensure church office is open during scheduled times office hours are Monday through Friday, 9-5:30.
Maintain all church records, files and data.
Serve as purchasing agent with vendors and janitorial service.
Go & Purchase church supplies including supplies for Childrens Ministries
Maintain daily accounting of flow of church funds and accounts. Cooperate with and is accountable to the church treasurer and the audit and Finance_noemailmittees.
Reconcile statements for 7 church accounts
Post donations to ACS
Prepare check deposits and take to bank
Prepare and make misc. bank deposits
Balance weekly deposits
Prepare traffic officer payroll check
Prepare:
o Monthly financials
o Submit various insurance policies when due for renewal, either to the Trustees or Personnel Committee for review and update.
Maintain personnel and payroll records, providing information to personnel_noemailmittee upon request.
Keep the ACS software current and accurate and ensure that_noemailputer systems are adequately protected against viruses, worms and security breaches.
Attend all: staff, church council, and Body Life meetings.
Take out recycle bins
Pack & return shipment purchases
Backup_noemailputers
Printing:
o Print and mail IRS 1099 i_noemaile statements
o Print and mail annual contribution statements
Perform other duties as directed by Senior Pastor.
