Children's Ministry Director Job - St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Responsibilities: Understand and support the mission and vision of St. Andrew and effectively utilize Children's Ministry to help a_noemailplish those goals; Creatively use Children's Ministry to reach out to the surrounding_noemailmunity; Coordinate/Oversee all Christian education functions for children, birth through Grade 5; Recruit, train, and supervise teachers, teen-aides, and substitutes; Evaluate and select curriculum; Insure all workers are familiar with policies, procedures and Safe Sanctuary; Coordinate annual events, i.e. Advent Festival Pageant, Family Lenten Festival, Vacation Bible School; Oversee children's baptisms and interface with Clergy for preparation and scheduling.

Additional Responsibilities: Supervise Program Assistant and Childcare Coordinator; Lead in preparation and management of the annual Children's Ministry budget; Interface with Rainbows International—oversee volunteers and site coordinator; Promote Children's Ministry through any/all forms of_noemailmunication; Keep Children's Ministry section of the St. Andrew website current.

Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirements: Deep and growing_noemailmitment to Christ, Strong, demonstrated experience in Children's Ministry; Ability to supervise, recruit, train, and mentor a variety of skilled and unskilled staff, including part-time childcare workers, volunteers and paid-staff; Team player; Excellent_noemailmunication skills both verbal and written; Strong creativity and_noemailanizational skills; Current CPR certification; Proven ability to lead but effectively manage and delegate responsibilities. Bachelor's degree or higher with emphasis on children's education or early childhood development.
