Job Title: Praise and Worship Leader/Assistant Pastor.
Reports to: Senior Pastor and Music Director.
Position Status: Full-Time.
Salary: $30-35,000 and benefits and housing allowance negotiable.
The purpose of the Praise and Worship Leader is to create a worship service that leads people to Jesus. The purpose of the Assistant Pastor is to preach, teach, and provide pastoral care.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
-Create a praise and worship format for a new service that brings glory to God
-Recruit musicians
-Select music and provide presentation slides to lead in worship
-Lead weekly rehearsal and worship service
-Create library of resources
-Create and balance a budget for the praise and worship service
-Develop ways to care for people through pastoral care, visitation, support, and small group ministry
-Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Skills and Requirements:
-Demonstrates, articulates, and models a mature Christian faith and sense of vocation/call in music ministry and pastoral care
-Engages regularly in Christian spiritual formation practices (i.e. prayer, Bible study, worship, etc.)
-Excellent_noemailanizational, verbal, and written_noemailmunication skills
-Bachelor's Degree in related field required; seminary degree preferred.
