Children’s Ministry Program Coordinator Job - Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Irvine, California

- Responsibilities include Sunday Morning Program and Wednesday Night Program.
- Lead large group worship and Bible lesson in a fun and creative way.
- Prep weekly lessons; which includes purchase and distribution of lesson materials.
- Assist in recruiting, training and placement of volunteers.
- Attend and participate in special events and training meetings throughout the year, including a 3 day winter camp.
- Must possess skills to effectively and efficiently use a_noemailputer, Microsoft Office programs, photocopy machine and phone system.

Qualifications and Expectations
- Intimate and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Interpersonal/management skills - able to supervise, encourage and coach volunteers.
- An understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in caring for God's people in the context of a church.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and_noemailanize events for the ministry.
- Strong leadership,_noemailanizational and time management skills.
- Very strong relational,_noemailmunication and discretionary skills.
- Working on or have a degree in a related field and/or work experience in a related field.
- Will b_noemaile a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and attend a worship service each week.

The Program Coordinator position at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is an hourly, non-exempt position, offering 25 hours per week at the rate of $18 per hour.
