About the Ministry:
The goal of Children's Ministries is to establish and environment of love, learning, and serving through which children will be prepared for decisions of faith in Christ and equipped for a lifetime of service in the church as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The ministry of the Director of Children's Ministries to develop, promote, and coordinate the areas of children's Christian education, spiritual growth, and serving ministries.
The Director of Children's Ministries will collaborate with the Family Ministry team (Director of Children's Ministry + Director of Family Ministries and Missions + Director of Student Ministries) to coordinate themes and focuses of learning and create family-centered events to enhance family-oriented discipleship and spiritual growth.
Responsibilities include:
1. Recruit, train, and nurture leaders and volunteers for the children's educational programs and activities within the church.
2. Develop and maintain knowledge of available resources in cooperation with the Senior Pastor, Children's Ministries Committee, and teachers/group leaders. Obtain necessary education materials and curriculum as needed for the various programs within the church.
3. Plan,_noemailanize, and lead Vacation Bible School, and recruit and train volunteers.
4. Supervise the Assistant Director of the Nursery and the Director of Children's Christian Ministry (2 mornings per week children's day out program)
