The Director of Music and Worship Arts at Hope Reformed Church will have a strong foundation in their Christian faith and will live out that faith through their words and actions. A_noemailmitment to the church, and an appreciation for the Reformed tradition of worship is necessary. The person we are seeking will need to have the skills to recruit and develop volunteers to lead worship through music and song. It is necessary to possess a knowledge and ability to perform both traditional and contemporary forms of music. This position requires planning and coordination of all music ministries including, but not limited to, the selection and arrangement of worship music, developing and training adult, youth, and children's vocal groups, soloists and instrumentalists. Technology skills are essential to provide stage, lighting, sound and_noemailputer integrated effects to the worship experience. The individual will interface regularly and cooperatively with staff, ministry leadership, and the congregation.
We offer two services on Sunday with a_noemailbined total of 300-350 in attendance. Our early service is a blend of traditional/contemporary styles and our later service is contemporary. Our worship is led by the Pastor, Music & Worship Arts Director, and a worship team that consists of several vocalists and a praise band. We regularly use piano, keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, and occasionally other instruments. The_noemailan has a strong presence in our first worship service and is used in various creative ways. Our Music & Worship Arts Director is responsible for Children's Music, Drama presentations, and Special Music Performances.
We are looking for someone who has keyboard skills that include the ability to play from a hymnal, a_noemailpany instrumentalists/vocalists, and improvise from a lead line. Candidate will need the required skills listed above (a college degree is desired, but not required).
