Job Description:
Lighthouse Boys and Girls' Ranch, a ministry of Lighthouse Christian Camp, Inc. is accepting applications for houseparents for both the boys and girls' ranch homes.
Lighthouse Boys and Girls' Ranch provides permanent Christian homes for abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children. These children are identified through private referral. The children are able to stay in the homes until they turn 18 and are gainfully employed or in college.
The ideal candidates will:
--Have a calling to help hurting children.
--Be experienced parents.
--Have a stable work history.
--Have a history of good money management and stewardship.
Houseparents at Lighthouse Boys and Girls' Ranch are caregivers, role models, and spiritual leaders. They oversee the basics of the children's daily living as well as their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual care. They will work closely with teachers, administrators and counselors to facilitate each child's success.
The couple employed as parents in the ranch home will also have other duties in the operation of a resident camp for needy children.
