Summary:
Minister of Cantonese-Speaking Seniors & Adults to oversee the Ministry for Cantonese-Speaking Seniors and Adults under the direction of the Pastor of Cantonese-Speaking Seniors & Adults, with the support of ministry team leaders and other lay workers
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide shepherding and caring for Cantonese-Speaking Seniors and Adults
2.Develop and implement ministry strategy under the guidance of Pastor of Cantonese-Speaking Seniors & Adults
3.Develop, equip, and train lay workers in discipleship, prayer, Bible study and personal evangelism
4.Lead outreach and evangelistic efforts for seniors and adults, including but not limited to, fellowship meetings, visitations and evangelistic meetings
5.Teach and motivate the congregation to care, pray and develop deeper faith and trust in God
6.Lead ministry team leaders in planning and executing activities, projects and programs
7.Be available as needs arise, for prayer, personal counseling, visitation, crises, etc.
8.Attend pastoral staff, deacon, member, and prayer meetings
9.Maintain regular working hours and be_noemailpliant with church policies and procedures
10.Preach occasionally as assigned by the Senior Pastor
11.Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Pastor of Cantonese-Speaking Seniors & Adults
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A born-again Christian
A Godly Person
A confirmed calling by God into the gospel ministry
Good people skills
Good Communications skills - shares the Gospel clearly, teaches the Bible effectively
Good_noemailanization skills - leads and delegates effectively
Fluency in Cantonese and written Chinese a must; ability to input Chinese into a_noemailputer a plus
Proficiency in written and verbal English
Flexibility to work in a wide age span in the Cantonese Adult/Family ministries
Sensitivity to needs of a wide age span and life-stage congregation
Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent_noemailbination of education and experience
Ministerial experience in a North American congregation of 100 or more desirable
Ordination and prior experience working with Senior Adults is a plus
