Job Description:
Praxis is a full-time internship designed for talented, highly capable individuals who plan to serve in vocational ministry and feel called to the local church. Residents will spend 10 months in a structured learning environment that will sharpen and equip them for a life-time of catalytic ministry. Praxis residents should expect to grow in practical tools for leadership and ministry, in personal tools for development and growth, and in relational tools for influence and_noemailmunication over a career in ministry. There may also be opportunities to earn seminary credit over the course of the program.
Ideal candidates to the Praxis program will have_noemailpleted their seminary degree or have a college degree_noemailbined with ministry experience, either paid or volunteer. Praxis applicants should feel called to ministry and will have demonstrated a high level of excellence in their area of interest. They will have a proven track record as a strong leader yet interested in deepening and broadening this experience. Residents should expect to be stretched personally, professionally and relationally as they experience vocational ministry alongside of their department leader and senior members of Hope's staff. A growing relationship with Christ
Commitment to Hope's vision and mission,
A team player with a heart to serve
A Bachelor's degree in a related field
Some ministry or seminary experience preferred (varies by department)
The ability to flex with a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-Starter
Although every resident will cross-pollinate across all ministry areas at Hope Church, residents should also specify a track in the following areas: Pastoral Leadership/Church Planting, Worship Arts, Discipleship, Student Ministry, or Children's Ministry. Applicants can specify a secondary area of interest.
The program runs from August 13, 2015-June 15, 2016.
