Description: Plan, control, and organize all aspects of TeenServe’s 10-month internship program. Coordinate the intern’s efforts with the following ministries: TeenServe, a workcamp missions trip for junior and senior high youth groups (www.teenserve.org); The Verge, a local teen club featuring live music, pool, air hockey and a smoothie/espresso bar (www.attheverge.com ); and Thrive, a local youth event.
Internship Coordinator Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of an internship program with 7-12 college age interns. - Coordinate a “call center” where interns promote the workcamp ministry to youth leaders. - Teach and/or coordinate others to teach weekly Bible Studies. - Coordinate several intern retreats / outings throughout the year. - Schedule and coordinate Thrive, a local teen youth event. - Schedule and manage all aspects of “The Verge” a local teen club. - Promote TeenServe and the CWMI internship program at local churches, schools, etc. - Coordinate use / upkeep of intern dorm housing. - Work closely with CWMI’s Worship Ministry Coordinator to develop and deploy musical ministry teams utilizing musical interns. - Travel with TeenServe during the summer months to assist as required in all aspects of running a summer workcamp program.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Biblical Studies / Missions / Youth Ministry. - 1 – 5 years experience in, and a passion for youth ministry. - 1 – 5 years experience in, and a passion for mentoring and teaching college age individuals.
