Bayshore Baptist Church, located in vibrant and delightful Tampa Bay, is a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship church seeking a full time minister of music for both praise and worship and traditional services. Throughout Bayshore’s nearly 100-year history, music has always been an integral part of the Church. It is a way to express our love of God in worship, to celebrate, attract new members, bring people together and introduce children to music and worship. Each church is different and Bayshore’s music programs are unique and special to our congregation.

Bayshore's 900-member congregation embraces a wide variety of musical styles just as we embrace diversity in our members. We are a church that loves Mendelssohn and Bach, jazz and classic rock and strives to do them all well, and we desire to bring honor and glory to God through praise and worship. We are seeking a dynamic, talented, spirit-led musician who will help grow all aspects of our music ministry—from children’s music to Chancel Choir. Our ideal candidate will develop volunteers, helping them grow spiritually as they glorify God by sharing their musical gifts.

Job duties will include working with the Senior Pastor, leading the church choir, praise and worship singers and band, and coordinating and leading volunteer and paid musicians in creating and performing spirit-filled, exciting music that glorifies Jesus Christ. You will also oversee the children’s and youth music programs. A major goal of Bayshore’s is to reach out to the exceptionally talented musical community in the Tampa Bay area to grow all areas of our music ministry. The ideal candidate will share that enthusiasm and desire to grow our music programs.

Minimum Qualifications: Spiritual maturity, dynamic personality, ability to direct and relate well to a variety of ages, desire to grow the music programs at Bayshore.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in music, 5 years experience in church music as a staff member.
