Bethel AME Church, CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER A fast growing, contemporary and multifaceted faith-based organization
The Chief Administrative Officer will provide administrative leadership for all church offices, programs, and locations. Reporting to the Pastor/CEO, this position provides day-today management of office support staff, information technology, personnel policies and procedures, congregation relations, communication, purchasing, and space administration
RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
Executive level management of the Pastor/CEOs schedule and correspondence, including speaking engagements, consultations, travel logistics, and all parsonage-related matters
Communication liaison with Bethels congregation and with outside organizations
Management and development of administrative and contract staff
Executive oversight of staff programs and congregational- based programs, organizations and ministries
Management of administrative computer and telecommunication systems
Bid procurement and contract management for office equipment, construction, maintenance, and catering services
Preparation and distribution of church reports
REQUIREMENTS: A competitive applicant for this position must possess
The highest principles and practices of Christian living and morality;
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent leadership and exercise sound judgment and discretion
Proven creativity, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
A history of experience with a church congregation and its ministries;
Five plus years of relevant work experience.
o Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
o A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
The position will require significant flexibility, including some evening and weekend commitments.
