Job Description:
1. Develop and lead a balanced and effective children’s ministry which includes outreach, discipleship, worship, and ministry for children birth through 6th grade. 2. Coordination and supervision of Christian education for children birth through 6th grade. 3. Recruitment, leading, and equipping of children’s workers (paid and volunteer). 4. Development, presentation and maintenance of an annual children’s ministry budget. 5. Development, promotion and implementation of weekly and seasonal programs and activities (such as VBS, children’s camps, children’s church, etc.) 6. Serve on the Open Door Christian School Board and Mother’s Day Out Board. 7. Set goals for evaluating children’s ministry, facilities, and resources. 8. Work with the families of children – providing counsel and/or programs to assist in family related issues. 9. Coordinate children’s activities and programs with other staff and ministries of the church to support the total ministry of Oak Street. 10. Other duties as assigned by the pastor.
Qualifications: Undergraduate college degree 3-5 years experience working with children's ministries Above average social, relational and leadership skills.
