Primary responsibilities will be serving the church’s middle and high school aged youth in grades 6 – 12 in a well-rounded and comprehensive youth program. This individual will be chartered with working with a team of adult advisors, our Pastor and Youth Council to develop and deliver a program that is fun, exciting and draws youth. This Youth Director will plan and coordinate youth activities that are wholesome and provide opportunities for the youth to be spiritually fed, engage in fellowship and be involved in outreach and missions. The individual we are seeking will have the ability to connect with students, parents and volunteers. They should possess a passion for Christ, a heart for youth, a desire to see students discover God’s purpose for their lives.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
• Maintain a strong personal commitment to Christ and display this through their interaction with youth
• 2 or more years working with youth in a structured church youth program
• Experience in training and leading volunteers
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with relevant creative teaching and worship styles
• Familiar with and support the beliefs of the United Methodist Church
