Job Description:
Ashton Baptist Church is looking for a part-time Children and Youth Leader to help us reach out to families in our very diverse community. We are located about 20 miles north of Washington, DC, in a suburban setting. Our church averages 75 to 85 in worship with about 15 children and youth (ages 6-18.) Our pastor has been with us for over 6 years and he has initiated a number of new ministries for children and youth, including AWANA and the Sonrise Coffee House. Our VBS has continued to grow, including over 100 children in each of the past two years.
This is a part-time(approximately 20 hours per week) position to be focused on growing our children's and youth ministry. The ability to lead outreach efforts to families with children and youth is vital. The primary compensation will be the use of a two bedroom detached house on the church property, including the payment of all utilities.
