Job Description:
Trinity United Methodist Church is a large suburban church located on Grand Island, between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY. We have an active youth ministry and are searching for an individual to provide a comprehensive, creative ministry for Christian Education to all ages and provide leadership for Christian oriented activities for individuals and families in Trinity Church and the Grand Island Community, with the aim of leading them into a relationship with God, as revealed through Jesus Christ, and sending them forth into their world equipped to witness and serve in Christ's name.
The specific duties of the Christian Education and Community Life Ministries Director will be tailored based on the gifts, interests, and talents of the selected candidate, and most likely will include the following:
- Recruit, train, motivate and encourage volunteers for leadership our Christian Education program for all ages with focus on children.
- Review and select curriculum materials and educational tools for the Christian education programs.
- Work with the pastor and staff to cultivate fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for individuals and families in the church and community.
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive outreach programs for children, individuals and families in the church and community.
