Job Description:
Qualifications
1. Has a growing personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. In agreement with the EFC doctrinal statement.
3. Possesses the conviction, passion and giftedness to equip and minister to High School students yourself.
4. Possesses the conviction, passion and giftedness to equip and lead a team of adult volunteers in ministry to High School students.
5. Previous experience preferred in investing in and training youth and youth leaders.
6. A Youth Ministries Degree or theological training is preferred, but not required.
7. A desire to not only see students in our church and in the community to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, but to lead them to experiencing the Lordship of Christ in their daily lives.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Create and cast vision, along with the Youth Committee, for High School ministry at GIEFC consistent with our philosophy, mission and values.
2. Be involved in teens’ lives—establishing relationships with teens and helping them develop their own effectual relationship with Jesus Christ. These relationships will be built by attending ball games, recitals, lunches and other activities of the teens.
3. Oversee/Lead the Wednesday Night Free Life Group for 9th – 12th grade
4. Plan and oversee periodic activity events/trips which have specific ministry goals in mind.
5. Provide opportunities for Growth Level students to deepen their faith in Christ.
6. Maintain effective communication with students and parents regarding youth ministry events.
7. Oversee Sunday School learning opportunities for this age group.
8. Coordinate youth ministry events along with Middle School Pastor
9. Apply and implement standards to ensure youth's safety and to meet requirements of the law.
10. Prepare and oversee the Youth budget along with the Youth Committee.
11. Participate as an active team member of the church's ministry staff.
