Description:
Heartland Worship Center is a growing Southern Baptist Church located on I-24 in the Paducah, Kentucky area. We are looking for a pastor of children (birth through 5th grade) who can serve in both a family oriented and community reaching model with a pastoral and administrative team ministry. Our Sunday morning attendance is 1,200—1,500. 140 of these are infants and children. We offer several programs which include Sunday school, children’s church, AWANA, Mother’s Day Out, Children’s Camp, Vacation Bible School, CLAP (Christ Loves All Pre-schoolers), AWANA Puggles for pre-cubbies, and Nursery. Our community has an amazing outreach capability to reach families within a 30 mile circumference through various ministries; Heartland appeals to the unchurched child.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a college degree and experience in children’s ministry. Seminary education is preferred. This person needs to be able to lead with a sense of vision, enthusiasm, and creativity. This person must also be ordained or willing to be ordained.
