The Lead pastor:

…diligently seeks to strengthen and build his relationship with Jesus through worship, prayer, the study of the word and authentic relationships with others.

…follows hard after Jesus and emulates His example in all aspects of his life – family relationship, friends, colleagues and congregation.

…sets as a high priority the development of leaders from within the congregation to share the work of the ministry, so that the members of the body are equipped to minister and so that the pastor is freed up to focus on ministry oversight, vision development and strategic planning

…Through the leading of the Holy Spirit discerns the vision and direction for the congregation designing God-give strategies and implanting them with the help and support of the congregation.

…expresses, a real love and sympathetic understanding for all people regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic status. He also encourages the congregation in following this example.

…has strong communication skills and is able to deliver the truth of God’s word in such a way that it can be understood by people with varying mindsets.

… seeks to build up the unity of the body of Christ in the community through relationships, prayer and partnerships.
