Job Description:
Gurnee Community Church, a non-denominational church in Gurnee, Illinois, seeks part-time Director of Middle School Ministry to serve as primary spiritual leader for youth in grades 6 through 8. Weekly youth group meetings, Sunday morning Christian education classes and weekend retreats are among the Director's primary responsibilities, with emphasis on mentoring our youth to build relationships with Jesus Christ, one another and with our church. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, organized individual to use his/her creativity and previous experience in Youth Ministry as we challenge you to grow our Middle School program. Ideal candidate for this position must have a God-inspired passion for Youth Ministry (particularly Middle School age), strong Biblical knowledge and previous experience working with youth along with a Bachelor's degree. Excellent communication skills and effective youth counseling skills are also a must.
