The Minister of Assimilation is responsible for making every new member, guest, visitor and regular attendee feel welcome and connected to the body of Christ at BMC. Will champion the cause of getting people connected to the church through membership as well as championing the value of making BMC a church of small groups. Contribute to the team spirit of the staff through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer support and other appropriate ways, and serves his Lord Jesus Christ, the church and the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with BMC staff to identify and implement effective assimilation strategies
Oversees New Members Ministry and works to maintain accurate membership records
Responsible for recruiting volunteers and staff to help answer questions after services
Oversees the Ushers, Greeter and parking lot ministries (people side, not equipment)
Coordinate with the Pastor for Community Outreach to follow up on all visitors for the purpose of reaching the unsaved and challenging the saved to a deeper commitment.
Champion the Small Groups Ministry of the church
Coordinates with all the ministry teams to ensure that BMC is a church of small groups, not just a church with small groups
Recruit, train, and empower servant leaders in their specific area of ministry
Be responsible for the ministry programming of the church, and work with the Senior Pastor in the implementation of a comprehensive ministry strategy that accomplishes our stated goals.
Provide on going evaluation and personal coaching for the Assimilation Staff.
Participate in teaching one of the Membership Classes.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in hands on evangelism outreach ministry. Has been involved in teaching and modeling lifestyle evangelism methods of reaching the lost. Must have vast experience in mobilizing and raising lay volunteers for community outreach.
