Who We Are:
We are a neighborhood church, and our vision is to be a place where people connect with Jesus, each other, and the world. Sitting atop the hills of Newport Beach and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, our church family is a small congregation of about 200 with many families with children. The church is surrounded by schools and neighborhoods filled with young families creating a tremendous potential for ministry with children.

What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative team player who has a love for children and a desire to share the story of our Christian faith. The successful candidate must possess a flexible, energetic, and outgoing personality and a natural gift for relating to children and families. They need to have strong organizational skills, the ability to lead, delegate, and work with volunteers. Finally, they have to have a fun loving spirit in order to work with our creative ministry staff.

Position Description:
The Director of Children's Ministry is responsible for creating and running our Sunday morning children's ministry which is currently centered around a traditional Sunday school model. They will recruit and train volunteers, select curriculum, and communicate with families. They will also lead a Children's Ministry team to help support and evaluate the programs on a regular basis. Additionally, the director will provide for a 1 week Vacation Bible School during the summer as well as other small events during the year.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree (preferably with coursework in early childhood studies) and prior experience in Christian education at the local church level.
