Responsible for Killearn's creative communication through the following multi-media design venues: production and planning through print media; graphic design; lights and sound; video production; and the Internet. Ensure that all programs and activities have media support during rehearsals as needed and during weekly and Sunday worship services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate use of and maintenance of all church sound and audio/visual equipment
2. Provide worship/activity support by using available technology for the creation and implementation of audio, video, graphic arts, lighting, and computer controlled works
3. Work with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure maintenance and upkeep of equipment, or to obtain supplies
4. Explore, research, and recommend technology support for all areas of the church program and assist with budget development
5. Oversee KUMC's website and newsletter emails, and make updates as needed.
6. Provide website training for other staff members as needed.
7. Attend weekly worship planning meetings to suggest, develop, create, and implement multimedia works as an integral part of worship.
8. Recruit, train and oversee technical volunteer team to assist in weekly worship services and rehearsals.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as required.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- A working knowledge of computers, video projectors, sound equipment, and related technology matters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Typing and data entry skills.
- A working knowledge of video editing and multi-media programming.
- Troubleshooting and repair skills related to video projectors, printers, computers, and sound systems.
- A strong sense of Christian commitment and a Christian church connection is mandatory.
- Bachelor's Degree in media arts is required, or media production experience can be substituted; or a degree in Church Ministry with an emphasis in Media Arts is required. Specialization in computer technology is desirable

Position is designed for a creative, flexible, motivated, problem-solving and action-oriented person. Organization and administration skills are required. A calling to do this type of work is desired.
