In the role of Director of Christian Education, we are looking for:
Ability/willingness to dedicate 10 hrs/week to directing our Christian Education program
Spiritual maturity and consistency
A willingness to work with and take direction from other church staff and our "Servants Group"
Experience in leading children's classes/worship within a church setting
Strong, positive recommendations from leaders with whom you have worked in a church setting, either professionally or as a volunteer
Ability to coordinate, develop and implement a new Christian Education Program at Church in Bethesda for children from newborn through 6th grade
Ability to identify, train and resource unpaid staff in our Sunday School program
A commitment to and willingness to participate in overall Church activities at Church in Bethesda
A good "fit" with the multi-denominational philosophy of Church in Bethesda (www.churchinbethesda.org)

In the role of Director of Bethesda Cooperative Nursery School, we are looking for:
Availability/willingness to work 20 hrs/week during school year and 5-10 hrs/week during the summer
A degree in Education and compliance with Maryland State Regulations
Demonstrated strong organizational and administrative skills
Demonstrated experience teaching and/or directing in a preschool or nursery school environment
Ability/willingness to identify, recruit, train, lead and resource paid staff at the Nursery School
Ability to organize and communicate with parent volunteers
Ability to maintain enrollment by updating web site, advertising, conducting tours and Open House and encouraging re-enrollment of existing students
Ability to organize after school and summer programs
Willingness to serve as liaison between school, Education committee and church's Servant Group
Ability to maintain school budget and finances (a working knowledge of Quick Books is helpful)
