Worship Pastor Job Description
Hello from the Rock Church here in Danville, IL. We are a non-denominational, mission’s-minded, growing church of 325. We are looking for a Spirit-filled Worship Pastor. We are looking for someone who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit (tongues) and leads worship with a prophetic edge. We are not looking for a song leader but someone with a David anointing, ( Male or female) We see people every week saved, healed and delivered by the power of God. Our mission is to persuade generations to take a “Journey Into God’s Greatness” … a journey that provokes passion to lead, live and love like Christ. Our Goal is - every service will lead to an encounter with the greatness of God.
Parts of the Journey into God’s Greatness include: Great Expectation - 1 Peter 1:3 NLT; Great Praise; Great Faith - Matthew 8:10 ( New King James); and of course, The Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20.
The Worship Leader Position will be_noemailmensurate with experience. Applicants should know how to let the Spirit have His way and take over our agenda with prophetic playing and singing. We are looking for a Worship Pastor with a prophetic edge and a mission’s-minded heart, someone with a David anointing,(male or female) that sets captives free. This is not a usual church we settle for nothing less than the power of God every time we meet. We, as Senior Pastors at the Rock Church are Christ for the Nations graduates and we believe in celebration-type praise and intimate worship as a part of a worship service. You need to be able to play and lead with an instrument…piano or guitar. We believe the height of our praise determines the depth of our worship. We don’t target an age group; we target an attitude. every week people are getting saved healed or delivered
A PLUS for this position would be experience leading youth, and guitar leading,
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position calls for a person who is visionary and creative in the ways and means of leading people to God. The position serves as the coordinator to all aspects of worship and performing arts. The position is a pastoral position and therefore requires the individual to be able to serve not solely as the worship leader but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry. Shepherding people is an often overlooked aspect to the position. This person will plan worship conferences, develop a school of worship and have the opportunity for 1 paid missions trip a year with our Global X Missions teams. We have a Mon – Th work week with most Fridays and Saturdays off for family and Sunday is a ministry day, of course . Other benefits include: Christmas bonus, paid vacation, a group insurance plan
