Organist Job - Laurel Presbyterian Church, Laurel, Maryland

Key responsibilities:
Choose and play prelude, offertory,_noemailmunion music (when needed), and postlude at Sunday worship service appropriate for the liturgical season using an Allen electric_noemailan.

Work with the Music Director to provide a_noemailpaniment for hymns, adult choir pieces, and special music during worship.

Attend and play for scheduled weekly choir rehearsals and special rehearsals.

Provide music for other church functions as needed, including but not limited to special worship services (e.g. Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve and other seasonal services), congregational functions (e.g. Thanksgiving Dinner), Funerals and weddings if available.

Attend monthly Worship and Music Committee meetings.

Position requires:
Proficiency in Organ and piano playing, especially as an a_noemailpaniment for signing. Ability to sight read moderately difficult music.
