The Lakeway Church Senior Pastor is to shepherd and lead the congregation and the church staff into discipleship. The Senior Pastor’s most important responsibilities are preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, leading the church & staff toward a united, spirit-filled walk with Christ, and effectively_noemailmunicating to the congregation and the staff a vision of what The Lakeway Church is called to a_noemailplish for God’s Kingdom.
He will serve as an Elder Pastor on the Elder Council, overseeing all church programs and ministries in concert with the Elder Council, and delegating responsibilities for specific events and programs as appropriate.
Minimum qualifications: A master’s degree from an accredited seminary or Bible College, Doctorate preferred; Minimum of 5 years experience as a preaching pastor, senior pastor experience preferred; Ordained minister; Demonstrated success in routinely preparing and delivering inspirational and at times challenging sermons; Demonstrated leadership in growing churches; Must fulfill the Biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9; Personal beliefs must be consistent with the existing core beliefs of The Lakeway Church; Must support & teach consistent with TLC beliefs and doctrine (Link to TLC Statement of Faith is attached to this posting).
