Job Description:

Weddington United Methodist Church, a 4,000+ member congregation in the south Charlotte area, is seeking a fulltime Director of Communications. Responsibilities will include: Development of a strategic_noemailmunications plan; Act as Weddington UMC brand gatekeeper; Create, edit and deliver monthly newsletter, weekly eNewsletter and worship bulletins; Maintain website, social media sites, develop ministry surveys as needed; Assist ministry leaders with publications and ministry materials including production of short videos for ministry presentations.

Education: Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, marketing or related field.
Experience preferred: nonprofit_noemailmunications or corporate_noemailmunications environment
Skills needed: Excellent written and verbal_noemailmunication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); Graphic design skills; some videography skills.
