| Orchard Grove Community Church is seeking a high-energy, spiritually-driven individual to fill the full-time position of Director of Music. This position is responsible for developing, organizing and planning all music programs in worship services and special events. Duties include utilizing talents of current music team, incorporating musical talents of congregation, recruiting talented musicians/vocalists, blending musical genres from contemporary to classic, and leading music team in vocals and instrumentals. QUALIFICATIONS: Technically sound as performer (preferably in keyboard or guitar), strong leadership skills, good motivator, seasoned singer, sufficient knowledge of scripture and Christian music, broad music appeal with young and old worshippers, ability to develop talent, confident leader, possess a mature walk of Christian faith. Bible and/or music degree desirable, but not required. Some music ministry experience needed. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead music ministry at two weekly Sunday services, conduct weekly evening rehearsals for musicians & vocalists, plan and organize music to support pastor's messages, direct music ministry for special services & events, develop annual ministry budget, interact positively with church staff on achieving goals, serve as member of senior pastor's team, embrace and support church mission and goals as active member. REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor SALARY:Commensurate with talent, experience Orchard Grove is a Christ-centered, Bible-based church in SE Michigan that exists to "Help People Find and Follow Christ."
