Job Description:
The Village Church of Barrington, an Evangelical Free Church in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, is looking for a Children and Family Ministries Director. We are looking for someone with experience in Children's Ministry who is passionate about the spiritual training of children. Our vision for our Children and Family Ministry is to partner with parents by equipping and supporting them in raising godly children. Our priorities in our Children and Family Ministry are teaching the Bible to children, equipping parents for the spiritual training of their children, and building community among families in the church. This full time position includes oversight of all programs for children from birth through 5th grade. Areas of responsibility include Awana, Children's Church (Saturday evening and Sunday morning during services), Nursery, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School.


Qualifications:
Clear testimony of faith in Christ
Strong grasp of the Bible as well as the proven ability to teach it to children
Leadership, communication, and shepherding skills
Bachelor's degree; emphasis in Christian education preferred
Gifted in connecting and establishing rapport with children

Compensation & benefits are negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.
