| Life and Salvation Church Praise and Worship Leader - Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: Life and Salvation Church is looking for a dynamic, innovative person to create, direct, and produce our contemporary worship service. The Worship Leader/Director of Contemporary Worship will have the freedom to cultivate an inspiring, Christ-centered, doctrinally sound, celebratory, engaging, and memorable worship experience for multi-generational, multi-cultural believers and seekers. We are looking for someone with a deep love for God who leads with integrity, character, and skill. This person must be a team-player who desires to serve the church alongside other servant-leaders and play a vital role in the overall development and life of the church RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with the Pastor, the Music Ministry Team, and the technical support staff, to create a Cohesive, impactful, spiritually significant Sunday contemporary worship service (as well as monthly Revival and other Special services) Lead, shape and oversee the music worship culture of the contemporary worship service. Develop a volunteer based worship music teams and oversee/conduct regular rehearsals in order to assure compelling worship experiences led by instrumental/vocal excellence. Develop and train those in the Life and Salvation church community with appropriate spiritual and musical gifts to serve on the music ministry team. Attend staff meetings, Music Ministry Team meetings and worship and Music Committee meetings as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: A mature, strong, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Gifted in music as an expression of faith and creative artistic discernment. Excellent instrumental and vocal abilities. Strong visionary, planning, and organizational skills. Fluency in contemporary music and music culture. Effective team builder and motivator. Competent communicator; both interpersonal and public. RELATIONSHIPS: The Praise and Worship leader will work closely with the Pastor and the Technical Support Staff. ACCOUNTABILITY: The Praise and Worship Leader is accountable to the Pastor EVALUATION: The job performance of the Praise and Worship Leader will be evaluated annually by the Pastor.
