Pastor of Care Giving
Job Description:
Purpose: The Pastor of Care Giving will provide design and oversight of all aspects of caring for our congregation.
General Responsibilities:
*Serve as the intake coordinator for all of those seeking counseling support.
*Serve as the primary interface with the counselors.
*Select and maintain relationships with Christian Counselors to augment the counseling support of The Bible Chapel. Ensuring that each agree to counsel to The Bible Chapel's doctrinal position.
*Provide leadership and direction to all ministries teams focused on caring for those in our congregation that have pressing physical needs. This includes the Mercy Fund, Someone Cares, and Helping Hands teams.
*Provide leadership and direction to all ministries teams focused on caring for those in our congregation that are working through pressing healing and emotional needs. This includes the Prayer/Care Support, Bereavement, and Grief Share teams.
*Provide leadership and oversight to Divorce Care and Celebrate Recovery teams.
*Develop and lead a team of dedicated volunteers.
*Recruit, develop, and shepherd a leadership team that will serve as a valuable resource in guiding the direction of the ministry.
*Provide general pastoral care to the congregation of The Bible Chapel. This includes weddings, funerals, counseling, visitation, baptism, and all other pastoral opportunities.
*General: Provide leadership and oversight to the pre-marital coordinator. Participate in all Bible Chapel staff functions.
*Responsible for the recruiting of all volunteers on each team.

Experience: Mature, growing believer in agreement with belief and teaching of The Bible Chapel; relevant college or seminary degree preferred; counseling degree and/or experience preferred.
Compensation: This is a full-time position. Benefits will be offered. Compensation package based on qualifications, experience.
Accountability: The Pastor of Care Giving is accountable to the Executive Pastor.
