Director of Children's Ministry
Desert View Bible Church is looking for an experienced Director of Children’s ministry who is passionate about ministering to children and their families. We are a growing church plant in the North Phoenix area, averaging close to 750 s and 200 children weekly. Our church sits on 40 acres of land (paid for) in a prime location to reach the growing young family demographic of this region. We desire to reach these families with a dynamic children's ministry that encourages young lives to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Position Overview
The Director of Children's Ministry will provide oversight, training, vision, and overall direction to the children's ministry from birth through 6th grade. Our ideal candidate will review and select curriculum and other educational tools, and will create and carry out all policies and procedures regarding the safety and protection of the children. Additionally, our new Director of Children’s Ministry will be responsible to train, equip and encourage a growing list of volunteer workers, and will work with our staff team to facilitate training for parents as the spiritual leaders in the home. We want to be intentional about equipping and strengthening the families, and so are looking for a leader who has a calling and passion to serve the entire family unit through children’s ministry.
Position Objectives
VISION-Create a vision and strategy for Children's Ministry at DVBC.
LEADERSHIP-Rally parents, staff & volunteers behind Children's Ministry vision.
RECRUITING-Develop an active recruiting plan.
ADMINISTRATION-As a servant leader, support and manage the team of volunteers.
SAFETY-Ensure the safety and the protection of the children.
TRAINING-Ensure that all volunteers are properly equipped.
FAMILIES-Develop a plan to guide parents as the spiritual leaders of the home.
