Job Description:
1. Create an environment where making church GREAT for kids is understood and
owned by the majority of the Body
2. Set ministry vision/goals with the team that inspire and empower children’s ministry to
the next level and contribute to the accomplishment of our Body-wide identity
and Strategy
3. Encourage and establish systems to support, celebrate and develop leaders,
volunteers and families
4. As a leader of leaders, cultivate, recruit and develop leaders of leaders and help
them to stay encouraged and excited about what they bring to God at Grace
5. Foster teamness/unity among Children’s Ministry volunteers and Children’s Ministry
staff
6. Produce a budget that reflects the whole team’s goals and directs our resources to
what God is doing among us
7. Create and enhance a cohesive flow of the ministry to children birth to 5th grade
8. Oversee, direct and develop the totZone Ministry staff and the Director of kidZone
RELATIONSHIPS

• Directly report to a member of the Pastor to the Staff and Family
o Willing to partner with and receive direction from the Pastor to the Staff and Family
• Teammate with members of Children’s Ministry staff
o Participate in relationships of mutual encouragement and feedback
o Bring problems and concerns to the attention of the team for problem solving
• Oversee the totZone staff, kidZone director, Children’s Ministry Administrative Assistant and Children’s Ministry Operations Director
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Someone who can work as a team player
• Have a love for children and a concern for their spiritual growth. Able to use educational models to enrich the environment for spiritual growth
• Able to balance personal responsibility and faith. Knows by faith that God is building His church and trusts that He will provide what is needed
• Someone who has leadership gifts and a global perspective
o Able to recruit, train, lead, oversee, define roles and organize team leaders
• Education background and/or willingness to gain it
• Able to cast the vision and help others to see their contribution to accomplish it
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. 30-40 hrs. per week and a presence in the office
2. Own office space
3. Part-time administrative assistant
4. Pay rate of TBD per hour, health benefits, retirement benefits, disability and life insurance
