The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection is a fast-paced church looking for someone to oversee & manage the technical production of events for our Student Ministries. Visit www.rezlifekc.org for more about our student ministries.This FT position is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of event production, including audio, lighting, graphics, set design, as well as coordinating program content with the student ministry staff. This position will manage and schedule the various volunteer teams and run sound/graphics/lights when needed. Events will include weekly Sunday school, Confirmation, 6th grade youth group, 7th & 8th grade youth group, high school youth group, special events and retreats. Production levels will vary from very low production (single guitar, vocal & speaker) to very high production(full band, intelligent lighting, heavy video/graphics, drama, etc.)
The successful candidate will be able to relate appropriately to the youth culture as well as demonstrate strong skills in both left & right brain activities (organization and creativity an absolute must), being able to see and communicate the big picture and then organize the details to make the big picture a reality. The candidate should also have a minimum of 2 years experience in live event production (with a basic working knowledge in the above listed technical areas) as well as 2 years experience in youth ministry.
