Objective:
The Children’s Ministry Director will faithfully model a life of Christian discipleship while recruiting, training and encouraging teams of people as they serve in the ministries of Sammamish Presbyterian Church which nurture and encourage our children, from birth through fifth grade.

Job Description:
As SPC Children’s Ministry Director you will be responsible for:
• Providing Vision and Direction for Children’s Ministries, including long-range goals.
• Organization of Sunday Children’s Ministry including recruiting, training and encouraging the leaders for Children’s Sunday Morning ministry.
• Administration of Children’s Ministry details including management of Sunday school supplies and curriculum; creation and management of Children’s ministry budget; coordination with church administrative staff.
• Direct Management of Children’s Ministry including guiding and directing all aspects of the Children’s holiday programs and Family worship services, to childcare during Adult classes/workshops; collaboration with LOGOS Ministry, Glory Days Pre-School, and MOPS; management of Children’s Ministry coordinator, volunteers, and childcare workers.
• General Responsibilities including participation church team meetings (Family Ministry staff meetings, Children’s Ministry Leadership Team meetings, weekly Pastor of Family Ministry meetings, etc)

Qualifications:
The ideal Children’s Ministry Director for Sammamish Presbyterian Church has:
• A personal/committed relationship with Jesus Christ
• BA/BS preferred with emphasis on education
• Strong leadership and administrative skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills, using proper mediums for best communication (email, phone calls, letters, face to face conversation).
• An ability to work cooperatively with staff, lay leadership and church members.
• An ability to recruit, train, affirm and disciple volunteers.
• The capability to manage the daily details while investing time and thought into the growth and future of this exciting ministry.
