Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro, KY is prayerfully seeking candidates for a full-time Children's Minister/Director. We are one of the larger churches in the Kentucky Conference with a long-standing Methodist heritage of over 100 years in Owensboro.This person should be someone who loves the Lord and wants to show that love to others. This will be the first full-time Children's Minister our church has had. Our desire is to find the person God wants for our children and our church. We want our children to love the Lord and love learning about the Lord.
Basic duties in this job include: Sunday morning activities (Sunday School, nursery, Children's Church - all levels, and church service activities); Children's Council; Junior Youth Fellowship; Vacation Bible School; Staff meetings; Wednesday evening activities (choir and Bible study); Mission projects; and Parent's Day Out liason to the church.
Our hope is to become a church that glorifies God in all ways. We have a diverse community that we can reach out to. We have traditional and contemporary services which meet the needs of many. However, we still have much growth, especially in the area of Children's Ministry.
