Salary: Up to $15,000 per year depending on talent and experience with potential to increase

Job Description:
North Church of Christ in Christian Union is seeking an experienced Worship/Music Leader to take our ministry to the next level; plan and grow the worship service; rehearsing and leading of musicians, choir, & Worship Team; and leading the congregation in our weekly service. Reports to the Pastor.

Music/Technical:
„X Recruiting, training, and rehearsing volunteer musicians and singers, educating them as to their role in leading people to worship.
„X Must be able to read music and play a keyboard.
„X Work with ordained staff in planning of service to sometimes include use of visual arts, drama, etc.
„X Able to lead and plan a service of contemporary music with the ability to keep with the theme of the day or season.
„X Prayerfully select music for all worship services and special events.
„X Facilitate at least one worship practice per week
„X Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word & Power Point.

Ministry Development:
„X Develop and lead a relevant and Spirit-led music ministry that¡¦s in line with North Church¡¦s vision and purpose.
„X Work with the Pastor to set quarterly and annual goals for the worship ministry.
„X Lead the worship team and choir as a small group ministry and develop others to share
in the responsibilities of that group.
„X Recruit and provide training to the Worship Team and choir.

„X Have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and embrace the purpose/mission of our church
„X Be willing to work as a team member
„X Believe that music in the life of church is first and foremost an act of worship
„X Should be self directed, personable, energetic, and diplomatic with the necessary skills to motivate, educate, and spiritually lead others.
„X Help with all aspects of the services (prayer, communion, baptisms, child dedications, etc.) as needed.
„X Assist in preparing an annual budget for the music ministry.
