Job Title: Pastor of Student Ministries
Reports To: Senior Pastor Ministry Issues Church Business Administrator Business Issues
Status: Full Time
Summary: The Pastor of Student Ministries will provide full time leadership to the student ministries of New Beginnings Baptist Church. This position will require both administrative and leadership abilities, since the individual will be both overseeing and administrating other staff as well as providing direct leadership and direction to the ministry. He is to model, recruit, train, and develop servant leaders, both adult and students who will intentionally develop disciple making students. He is expected to contribute to the team spirit of the staff through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer support and other appropriate ways, as he serves his Lord Jesus Christ, the church and the Senior Pastor.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all student activities, including effective administration through a balance of planning, follow-through, delegation, communication, and financial accountability. Administrative and direct leadership of the Student Ministry department (7th-12th grades). Shall develop a comprehensive ministry vision and strategy. Shall provide a balanced program of evangelism and discipleship including: systematic Bible instruction; relevant worship; small groups and accountability; lifestyle-relational evangelism; and personal discipleship. Direction of the Sunday and weekday programs of the Student Ministry department. Recruitment, training and leadership of the volunteer staff. Design and implementation of suitable community building events, outreaches and ministries. Supervises and develops all Student Ministries camps and retreats. Development of a working relationship with parents. Availability to provide needed pastoral care. Shall develop and implement the Student Ministries budget. Shall participate fully as a member of the pastoral/ministry staff, including attendance at staff meetings and regular attendance at Sunday services. Maintenance of regular office hours. Any other pastoral and administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
