* being the lead evangelist for connecting to God through community. These communities will include Life/Care/Growth groups, interest groups, ministry groups, study groups, service groups, etc.
* recruiting, training and coaching leaders
* overseeing the process of helping people move from being disconnected to being connected by
--envisioning and implementing new strategies
--utilizing a tracking system to improve the process.
2. Connect people by developing and maintaining a process of assimilation into community by...
* connecting and tracking people from their first contact with the church through their service in a ministry group
* connecting people in their “sweet spot” of ministry by helping them to discover and use their spiritual gifts in community.
* overseeing the process of helping people move from not recognizing their spiritual gifts to fully utilizing their spiritual gifts by
--envisioning and implementing new strategies
--utilizing a tracking system of helping people move from guest to fully using their spiritual gifts in community
Must have
* commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord
* hunger for spiritual growth
* commitment to a ministry model that embraces people from all backgrounds needing help, hope and healing
* support the church leadership (shepherds, ministry leaders, pastors)
* passion for Christ that transcends denominational, racial and socio-economic barriers
Would be great if you have...
* exceptional teaching ability
* college or seminary education (a plus but common sense is more necessary)
* previous ministry experience (valuable but not obligatory)
* your own office (like Jesus, you will find no room in the inn)
* season tickets to Longhorns games (a big plus)
* a burning desire to put out road signs ;^)
* a sense of humor (if you aren’t smiling by now, walk on by...)
