The Site Minister will coordinate sports ministries, respond to pastoral needs of the congregation, provide worship leadership, and hopefully transition into the preaching pastor at the site.

The applicant needs strong organizational abilities, an outgoing and winsome personality, an ability to personally relate with a younger adult population, enthusiasm for sports ministry, and theological orientation compatable with mainstream Wesleyanism (a bridge-building orthodoxy). Ankeny First United Methodist Church is located in a fast-growing suburb of Des Moines, Iowa and currently has two ministry sites, a large Uptown location and a smaller Faith Chapel site. The Christian Life Center will be the third site for the congregation.
