POSITION SUMMARY:
The Discipleship Ministries Director (Age 3 through Grade 6) has the responsibility to provide recruitment, development, leadership training, evaluation, and vision for dynamic programs for children from Age 3 through Grade 6 and their families. The Discipleship Ministries Director will recruit, train and support unpaid staff. They will create and promote programming that provides opportunities for families to grow in faith, supporting parents as they nurture their child's faith development. Through presence and participation, the Discipleship Ministries Director will cultivate a relational ministry with families of the congregation and encourage the development of similar relationships between children and other caring adults.
This position reports to the Pastor for Discipleship Ministries, and relates cooperatively and intentionally with other Discipleship Ministries staff and other church staff positions.
HOURS:
This is an exempt, 75% time (minimum of 30 to 35 hours per week) position during peak months (44 weeks per year) and 62.5% time (minimum of 25 to 28 hours per week) position during off-peak months. (8 weeks per year during the summer).

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience.
