Contemporary Service Worship LeaderConcord Liberty Presbyterian Church Job Description: Praise Band Leader
Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church Part-time Located on a 20-acre campus setting, Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church is a growing, dynamic, disciple-making church that is committed to evangelize, nurture, and equip the church body for discipleship and service. Time Commitment: Sunday Mornings (approx. 8:30am -- 12:30pm); Weekly rehearsals (currently Thursday evenings 7pm to 8:30pm), in addition to staff, worship and leadership meetings. Hours: Approximately 12 to 15 hours a week Responsibilities Christ-focused Contemporary praise band leader with a commitment to Christ and to the work of Worship and assisting others in their worship of God; past experience in Christian Worship leadership including singing and instrumentals; proficiency with an instrument conducive to Worship (guitar or keyboard); dependability on a weekly basis for Sunday services and one practice session. Song selection in coordination with the Pastor and Team members throughout the course of the year, following themes and seasons; including regular communication of upcoming Worship sets with our Band Regular communication with Pastor and Team for planning and oversight of weekly practices and structure of songs and Worship sets, including scheduling and preparation Regular review of Worship, including songs, different parts of Worship, themes, and potential events, in conjunction with the Pastor and other Team members Recruitment of new team participants and assistance in assimilation and support Recruitment, scheduling and support of Special Music participants during services Oversee the setup and tear-down of equipment for Sunday Worship. Demonstrated music skills necessary to lead the choir and praise team.
Ability to enlist and mentor volunteers into both the Choir and praise team.
Strong team player with the rest of the staff and congregation.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with people of all ages.
Dependable, responsible, mature, self-motivated and creative.
Demonstrates skill in working in music with a love for music.
Willingness to learn and try new ideas.
Instrumental ability preferably piano and or guitar.
Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, and administer programs.
